Something To Say-World

Something to Say-World blog is a forum where I can vent and share my strong viewpoints with the world, and get feedback from others, whether they are pro or con, for or against my positions. The main thing is that we engage in a thought provoking discussion with hopes of seeing the world in a more clearer and different light than we did before initiating our intellectual dialogues. __________ MOTTO:Committed To Relentless Pursuit Of Hidden Truths -Globally-

Tell the Pentagon: "Flush Rush" from military bases! A Daily Kos Petition!

____________________________
Rush Limbaugh is finally getting his comeuppance for spewing misogynistic rhetoric. Advertisers have pulled their sponsorship, and many radio stations have stopped airing his show.
But the Armed Forces Network (AFN), a taxpayer-funded station that broadcasts on U.S. military bases around the world, continues to air his program.
The Pentagon faces a serious problem of sexual harassment and abuse, as more women on military bases report horrific cases of sexual assaults by other servicemembers. President Obamahas said we must “step up our game exponentially” to prevent such assaults from happening and punish attackers. This must include changing the culture that condones such behavior.
Rush Limbaugh’s program fuels a culture that condones—if not encourages—misogynistic behavior on military bases. Please sign our petition to the Defense Department asking that they pull Rush Limbaugh’s program from the Armed Forces Network.
Dear Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel: http://campaigns.dailykos.com/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=424

Rush Limbaugh's sexist and misogynistic radio program has no place on military bases, which is struggling with its own culture that condones sexual harassment and assault. Please remove his program from the taxpayer-funded Armed Forces Network.

Please sign petition at the above link! Thanks!

My Petition Comment: This Guy should have been off the air a long time ago. He has done "NOTHING" to promote harmony within our pluralistic society.  It is a travesty that he is still broadcasting to our impressionable and vulnerable young men and women in the armed forces. He must go NOW!  Do the right thing! C. Middleton,Sr, Major,USAF,Retired
